Kindergarten Fall party

Some parents in Tessa's class organized a fall party at Pine Hill Park last night.  The kids had a blast and Mrs. Motz, her teacher, came with her dog Otis.  They dressed as Michigan football players.

Pumpkin decorating.

And Nolan came along for the ride.  Special thanks to Papa for coming over to play with Morgan and take him to swim lessons at Lifetime!

School 2013

I know it's October, but since I just rejoined the blogging world I thought I'd let you all know how our school year is going.  I am 8 weeks into my 11th year teaching.  Wahoo!  Love my students this year and am coteaching two periods a day, which is going really well.  Tessa is in kindergarten at MECC and loves her teacher.  She really enjoys reading and writing, library time, and gym and comes home happy every day!
Morgan is in preschool at Mason Christian preschool and is also having a great time.  He loves both his teachers and was thrilled to bring home the class fish last week for a visit!  He may even have a girlfriend.... He he!

It's been awhile...

I'll blame Nolan.  It's been a really long time, but we've been enjoying our three kiddoes.  And I went back to work.  And we've just been busy.  Nolan (aka Nolie Polie) is six months old today!  Still not rolling or showing any desire to move, but that is okay by me.  He loves his baby food though, especially bananas.
This past weekend we hosted a kid-friendly Halloween party for our friends and the kids all bad a blast!

We also managed to squeeze in trips to Kings Island and the zoo.
The pumpkin patch will have to wait until next weekend...
And I'll leave you with an adorable shot our nanny took of Nolan.  Precious!

Nolan's Baptism 7/14/13

We had a very special baptismal day on Sunday and were so thankful my dad could perform the ceremony and that Uncle Jason and "Aunt" Mary were there to serve as Godparents.  I have a baby on my lap who is making typing difficult, so for now, enjoy the pictures!  (Thanks to Uncle Dan for taking them).

Naples, FL and Happy Birthday, Mommy!

Nate's cousin got married last weekend in Naples, and Nate and I headed down to Florida with JUST NOLAN.  It was fantastic - relaxing, beautiful, and calm.  Not that we don't find Tessa and Morgan relaxing and calm, but it was nice to get away with a child who cannot move on his own!  We stayed at the Ritz Carlton, which was an experience in itself.  (The bride scored an awesome rate).
Yes, that is Nate in the ocean.  Don't see that often!  We spent most of the day Saturday at the beach and poolside before the wedding festivities began.
 Nolan napping on the beach.
And this one was from later this week, napping at our neighborhood pool.
We also had Tessa's friend Kendall over for a playdate and they had a blast running around all day!
And for my birthday on Friday, I decided we were doing something new, mainly so I didn't have to listen to fighting.  We tried out SkyZone indoor trampoline park and the kids had a great time.
That little speck in the distance is Tessa.
Birthday festivities continued with a Panera lunch with Nate's mom and Steve, a quiet evening at home.  (All three kids in bed by 7:30 and Nate and I enjoyed sushi and a chick flick).  The next day, my parents took us to the Moerlain Lager House to celebrate and afterwards, the kids played in the fountains.  I had not been down there since they created The Banks.  It is so nice!

And finally, one picture of my hubby and I at the wedding rehearsal dinner.
Today is Nolan's baptism so I promise I will post again soon!

Summer, Continued!

"Look at me mommy.  I'm a baby, I'm a baby."  Direct quote from Morgan.  Enough said.
It has gotten hot here, which means we've been spending a lot of time at the pool.  It isn't all that fun having an infant at the pool, but our favorite pediatrician told us to put some sunscreen on him and take him swimming.  It's made it a bit easier and he likes snuggling his mama in the pool.  (Unfortunately, he doesn't like splashing, which kind of goes hand in hand with swimming).  For some odd reason though, he really enjoys having sunscreen put on him.  Little man is now 12 pounds and almost 2.5 months.  Crazy!
Last Tuesday was superhero night at Prasco Park and the kids and I made superhero capes, which they wore for all of 5 minutes once we got there.
Tessa loves getting her face painted when we are there.  She does not love washing it off when we get home.
And, ta da!  Our new swingset has arrived.  It was installed on Monday evening and the kids are loving it.  It is so much bigger and sturdier than the one left by the sellers when we bought the house.  Now all we need is an infant swing and Nolan will be all set up come fall.
Things I'm looking forward to: a trip to Naples with Nate and Nolan for an upcoming wedding, visiting the Kings Island waterpark with my older two and enjoying these last six weeks of summer before I head back to work mid-August.  Oh, and Nolan turning three months so I can start working out regularly and he can go to daycare at the gym.  I really need to fit back in my clothes or I'll have to buy a new wardrobe when school starts!
