An Update

Well, I think it is safe to say we've made it back to our old insurance plan, as long as nothing crazy happens in the next 12 hours...but we're pretty safe, tucked away at home cuddling, reading, and watching shows since Morgan is sick.  Poor boy threw up for almost 4 hours straight in the middle of the night.  (I am one tired momma).  On a positive, he has been pretty normal all day, other than sleepy (which makes sense) and not eating much (which also makes sense).

Tessa is at school but we'll pick her up a bit later this afternoon.  This picture is from last week at school.  Her class had a magician come in on Friday afternoon and this was the trick she got to help with.  It didn't start until 3:30 so her teacher suggested I pick up Morgan so he could see the performance too.  I'm so glad I did.  They both loved it and Tessa was grinning ear to ear from her "performance."

This was from a random afternoon at home, actually it was last Thursday while we were waiting to hear the results of the insurance meeting between the MEA and the board.  I needed something happy at the time, and this was it!  Our dog is the best.  Hands down!
We also spent some time at the park this past weekend.  I wouldn't say it was warm exactly, but warmer.  These two had a blast climbing and running around.  I can't say this enough, but I am ready for spring!

Hopefully Morgan is feeling better for tomorrow!  I am going back to work regardless and Nate is taking over sick duty if needed!

Valentine's Day and President's Day

Two "minor" February holidays, but we enjoyed them both.  We started Valentine's Day by trying to mimic a little girl hairstyle I had seen on Pinterest where you made your ponytail look like a heart.  It kind of worked...
We have started gathering baby supplies for little arrival and Morgan really likes them.  Yesterday I caught him in the exersaucer sucking on a bottle. (No pic with the bottle unfortunately).
Tessa's Valentines day party involved a mother-child craft.  She was kind enough to let two friends and her brother tag along, as their parents weren't there yet.
Yesterday was Presidents Day and the kids and I had a nice day together.  We started at the gym with total conditioning class and I must say, since all this insurance drama began I have had some killer pregnant workouts.  Yesterday another lady in my class asked if I felt like the baby was going to fall out.  Don' worry though...my doctor gave me full clearance for exercise, though at this point, I'm not sure I have a doctor anymore.  I guess time will tell.
It was a really nice afternoon, the highest it is going to be all week, so we played outside a big chunk of the afternoon.  Soccer and hide and go seek were the two highlights.
Then we rode bikes, where Morgan stopped to visit with one of the statues in our neighborhood.
And finally collected some nature objects in our butterfly nets.  Morgan followed this by putting his net on his head.  (He is sitting on my lap right now as I write this and cracking up at himself!)
All in all, a fun week with our activities.  And a frustrating week with our insurance.  I'm hoping they can get this thing turned around quickly, otherwise I may have to change my delivery plan as the current hospital is no longer accepting my insurance.

Keeping Warm

Man, I think I have had my share of winter.  I'm definitely ready for spring temps and activities.  Anything where we can be outside.  (And not being pregnant anymore will be nice).  Baby Nolan has about two more months of baking and then he'll be joining us.  Can't wait!  Until then, we've been trying to enjoy winter with some indoor activities.  Mommy and daddy's favorite: Long winter naps.  He he...aren't they cute?  Morgan got a boo boo at school tripping over a trike and landing on the pavement outside.  And speaking of Morgan, the kid is really making potty training progress.  He wore big kid underwear to school the past two days.  I won't say he is accident free and you have to tell him to go potty about every 45 minutes, but he does it.  His teacher told me he'll be potty trained in a week. I sure hope she is right as I am a big advocate for only having one in diapers at a time.
We've been to the museum a couple of times.  These kids love going down there!

And Daddy has been entertaining them in the evening, playing monster and blocking their giant balls.  (Please don't kill me for posting this picture).
And last weekend I took this five year old for her first real pedicure.  This place by our house does kids' pedicures for $20, which I didn't think was all that bad.  And since I can't really reach my toes anymore, I figured an express pedicure was in order for momma too.  I"m so glad I have one girl to enjoy all these girly things with!
Sorry I haven't posted in awhile.  I have been so tired again and am rarely awake when the kids aren't, which means my time to get things accomplished is limited.  Tonight Nate and I are off for a Valentine's day celebration...an afternoon movie and dinner at out.  Can't wait!  Enjoy your weekend!

Valentine's Day

I found a really cute Pinterest post a few weeks ago where you took a picture of your child holding out their hand in a fist, printed them, and then cut slits to put a sucker through their hand.  They were adorable, so we tried to capture the idea in a photo shoot the other evening.  Here were our best shots.

Now to upload, print, and stuff with sweet treats!

Speaking of pictures and photo shoots, we just hired a photographer to take newborn and family photos once Nolan makes his appearance.  She is a teacher at the intermediate school and I love her work.  We never did newborn photos with the others, but since this really is probably the last one, I'd love some nice, professional family photos of the brand new Palmer party of five.  29 weeks today and counting!  11 to go (or maybe 10?  I can be hopeful, right?)
